The current report

The station did not mention the Riverview in this cycle. On Vancouver604 that is a statement, not an absence: a crossing that is moving is not read out, so a quiet page usually means a clear bridge.

The player carries the whole station, every zone, in the order it airs.

About this crossing

The Riverview, stal̕əw̓asəm in hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓, carries traffic over the Fraser between New Westminster and Surrey on the crossing that replaced the Pattullo: four lanes, wide enough to be widened, with the old bridge beside it coming down. Locals are still learning the name and some still say the old one; the signs say Riverview Bridge and stal̕əw̓asəm. It links Royal Avenue and McBride on the New Westminster side to King George Boulevard and the Whalley approaches in Surrey, so its rush is King George northbound in the morning and Royal Avenue southbound in the afternoon, and it is the free alternate when the Port Mann is stopped. The alternates are the Port Mann on Highway 1 and the Alex Fraser via Highway 91A and Queensborough.

Questions

How current is the Riverview report?
Vancouver604 publishes a new cycle every fifteen minutes. The time at the top of the page is when the cycle you are reading was published, and the page, the JSON feed and the player all show the same cycle.
What does it mean when the Riverview is not in the report?
That the station had nothing to say about it. Vancouver604 reports what drivers and the public road feeds are seeing; a crossing that is moving is not mentioned, so a quiet page usually means a clear bridge.
Which zones cover the Riverview?
Burnaby / New Westminster and Surrey / White Rock / Langley. The crossing's report is drawn from every zone in the cycle, so it is found whichever side the station described it from.
Can I listen instead of reading?
Yes. Press play on this page or in the free iOS app, which also works in CarPlay so your hands stay on the wheel.
Is Vancouver604 an emergency service?
No. Vancouver604 is a community information service. In an emergency call 911. Never use your phone while driving.
