About this highway

Highway 15 is 176th Street, running dead straight from Highway 1 in Surrey south through Cloverdale to the Pacific Highway border crossing. Everyone says the Pacific Highway or the truck crossing; the signs say Highway 15. It is the commercial crossing, so it carries the freight the Peace Arch does not take and its queues are trucks rather than cars, which changes what a delay means: the truck line and the car line are separate and one can be long while the other is empty. Southbound builds through weekday mornings with commercial traffic and northbound in the afternoon. The alternate for a car is the Peace Arch by way of Highway 99, which is usually faster unless a cruise ship or a long weekend is filling it.
