The current report
The station did not mention the Golden Ears in this cycle. On Vancouver604 that is a statement, not an absence: a crossing that is moving is not read out, so a quiet page usually means a clear bridge.
The player carries the whole station, every zone, in the order it airs.
About this crossing
The Golden Ears carries traffic over the Fraser between Pitt Meadows and Maple Ridge on the north side and Langley and Surrey on the south: six lanes, opened in 2009 and tolled until 2017, joining Lougheed Highway near the Pitt River Bridge to 200th Street and Highway 1 at the Langley bypass. Locals say the Golden Ears; the signs say Golden Ears Bridge and Golden Ears Way. Its rush is southbound in the morning toward Langley and Highway 1 and northbound in the afternoon back to Maple Ridge, and because it is the only crossing east of the Port Mann until the Mission Bridge, a closure sends everyone either to the Port Mann via Lougheed and the Mary Hill Bypass or a long way east to Mission.
